Baylor Hospital Foundation, Arts In Medicine Program
Inspired by the opportunity created when Baylor Hospital in Dallas began this program, Dirje Childs gained the Certified Music Practitioner (CMT) as a deeper way of engaging the healing power of music in a hospital setting. The program expanded to include formal music therapy and visual arts with the dream of sharing it in all affiliated hospitals. Music and arts are offered without charge to patients and fully supported by donations to the program.

The non-profit Hospice Austin was established more than 40 years ago to ease the physical, emotional and spiritual pain of any person in our community facing the final months of a serious illness. Patients receive care in the place they call home or at Hospice Austin’s Christopher House, the only inpatient hospice facility in the Austin area. Christopher House combines home-like comfort with 24-hour expert medical care for patients whose symptoms cannot be managed at home. Each of the 15 private rooms allows for visitors 24 hours a day to welcome friends, loved ones and pets. We are proud to support the place that has comforted many of our music community in their final days with dignity. No one who needs its services is ever turned away because of complexity of disease, cost of care or inability to pay.

USA for UNHCR (the UN Refugee Agency) protects refugees and empowers them with support services. Their mission is to give refugees the hope they deserve, restore their dignity and help them rebuild their lives. The UN Refugee Agency is working in Ukraine and those countries currently receiving families that have been displaced.
